HCL Digital Experience 9.5 Container Update and CF 231 (All Versions)

  • HCL DX software is available through the My HCLSoftware portal for customers licensed for HCL Digital Experience offerings. My HCLSoftware portal replaces the HCLSoftware License & Download portal as of June 30, 2025. Also see the HCL Support Knowledge Article

  • DXClient – Administrators and developers can speed configurations and deployments of Script Applications with the new create-dx-script-app tool. This modular toolkit for DX generates modern React applications resulting in ready-made templates and configurations, with an example, to accelerate development workflow*.*

HCL Digital Experience 9.5 Container Update and CF 231 (K8s deployments)

  • Configure an external PostgreSQL database for DAM – New guidance is available for administrators to optionally create an external PostgreSQL database on a private or public cloud platform.

  • DX Picker integration with Search V2 – Site designers and developers have greater flexibility to search across multiple content sources while creating custom web applications using Search V2, including Java Content Repository (JCR) and Web Content Manager (WCM), in addition to Digital Asset Management (DAM). Installation and deployment methods have also been streamlined for efficiency.

  • Search V2 - New Atomic Components and supported CSS part attributes available - The default search component for Search V2 is designed to be user-friendly, customizable, and extendable. It offers intuitive search interactions, allows user-defined styling and extensions, and can be integrated anywhere in your application.

  • Performance Tuning Guide updates - For HCL DX deployments on Kubernetes. The guide helps administrators establish baselines, monitor performance metrics, and apply optimizations to improve scalability and reliability in Kubernetes environments

  • Digital Asset Management Features and How-to demonstration: The DX (DAM) helps you centrally organize, share, and control all your digital assets. Use these assets in any UI design, content, sites, and applications.

  • Updated IBM WebSphere, JDK levels and iFix – This release updates to WebSphere Application Server 9.0.5.25 andJava Development Kit 8.0.8.51

HCL Digital Experience 8.5 and 9 versions

  • Extended Support option is available for DX versions 8.5 and 9.0 – Customers who may not be able to update from DX versions 8.5 and 9.0 version 9.5 by June 30, 2025 can sign up for an Extended Support option. The Extended Support option will be offered from June 30, 2025 until June 30, 2026.

HCL Digital Experience Compose v9.5

HCL Digital Experience Compose v9.5 is separately available lightweight, fast performing, cloud–only digital experience platform for delivering content-centric and transactional experiences. DX Compose includes a core container called WebEngine that is built on the Open Liberty platform and operates on Certified Kubernetes platforms. This architecture supports fast startup and execution times to deliver high-performance DX sites and the latest Java Development Kit (JDK) and Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) levels.

HCL Digital Experience Compose 9.5 CF 231 (K8s deployments)

HCL Digital Experience Compose v9.5 CF231 adds many of the new capabilities available with DX CF 231 Container update, and:

  • Site Builder is now available in HCL DX Compose – Designers and authors can build efficiency and consistency with use of the Site Builder to create site or section templates for use in HCL DX Compose.

  • HCL DX Compose software is available through the My HCLSoftware portal for customers licensed for the HCL Digital Experience Compose offering. Also see the HCL Support Knowledge Article
