Hi All

I Installed Lotus Client normally on workstation being in local administrator login.

Lotus client works fine when i am logged in as local administrator.

But

When I logged in as a normal user it diplays error message showing that…

“you cannot use administration program while domino server is running. Either shut down the server (but keep the file server running), or choose the icon labeled 'Lotus Notes’instead.”

Can any one tell me the reason for this.It happens with some PC’s Only as it works fine with most of them.

Is it necessary to have local administration rights for a user to work on notes client.???

This error show when the files are locked or being used in an another process. Check the rights in the data folder.

That error was bcoz of not having rights for the doman users on that folder.

I added everyone in to the security of the Lotus folder and gave access rights.

Now Notes Client works fine with out any problem.
