The user had 7.03 installed on Vista, all worked ok.
He uninstalled 7.03 and installed 8.01 Client. Used the same ID for notes that was working with 7.03.
Now he cannot access his files on the server. The message is “You are not authorized to access that database”.
Checking the ACL’s, he is listed as Editor or Manager for all of the DB’s he is trying to access.
Using his ID, I can access the DB’s. There is nothing wrong with the DB’s, can access them easily as Administrator. Other users of 8.0.1 in the office did not have this problem.
Any idea what could be causing this?

That is not an issue. Wish it was… Does anyone really know what is problem with this… I can access the db’s no problem from my admin ID or the user’s ID… just not from client on his machine.

I’m curious about how you know that is not an issue. Did you delete the cache.ndk and that didn’t resolve the problem? If so, all you had to do was say so.
I’m not an admin expert but this sounds like something is pointing at the wrong server or the wrong ID file. Could there be another copy of the ID on that machine that Notes is using? Could it be pointing at the wrong server?

Yes, deleted all the cache files. It didn’t make any differences.
Had to give the user a new Notes ID, re-registered him with the same name and then everything worked. Luckily none of his databases were encrypted with the old ID…

Hello,
Are you accessing the DB from same PC or the other. I guess it will be other PC from where you are accessing the DB.
It could be the Vista issue.
If things are not going well even when the ACL has proper rights then you can try removing access rights from the DB and then again assigning them.
