xPages - Domino document data source broken in 8.5.1 under 64 bit Windows

I am running Windows 7, 64 Bit and Notes 8.5.1.

When designing xpages, the data source for Domino Document does not function properly.

When I define a ‘Domino View’ data source, the pallet is automatically populated with columns that I can drag and drop onto the Design pane. This works fine…

But, when I define a ‘Domino Document’ data source, no fields appear on the pallet. It is empty except for the drop-down control used for selecting the data source. My only option is to hand-code the XML.

I have tried installing FP1, but that did not fix the problem.

BTW, everything works fine in 8.5, but then I loose the ability to use xpages in the Notes client.

Has anyone else seen this?

I have now tried installing 8.5.1 on three different machines (Win7-64, WinXP-32, WinXP-32 via VMWare), and none of them display the data source correctly. So, this is not a Windows 7 or 64 bit issue.

I also used two different user ids thinking that maybe my roaming profile data was corrupt. No dice! The other id was not a roaming user, and I used a perfectly clean installation. So this is not related to a particular user.

I’ve searched extensively, but it seems that I am the only person out there having this problem.

Again, if I install 8.5, everything works as expected.

No, you’re not the only one. I am having the same problem using XP-Pro with 8.5.1.

I solved my problem by going into the form that I am basing the data source on and removing the //hidden at the top of the form.
