"wrong password" error when authenticating a registered Active directory user

I installed ADsync and tried to register Active Directory user account to domino server. It is successful. However, when I tried to login with the newly registered username, I was told “wrong password”. Does anybody have any idea? I appreciate it.

What I did were as follows:

  1. Install Domino 6.5.4 on machine A (Windows 2003)

  2. Active directory is configured on machine B (Windows 2003)

  3. install Domino Administrator 6 on machine B

  4. configure ADsync so that I can register user in Domino from Active directory

  5. registered an existing AD user account into Domino

  6. From a desktop machine, I installed Notes 6.5.4, then start it

  7. when prompted to enter username which was registered in step 5

  8. type password, then I got error message:

“Wrong password.” password are case sensitive.

I got the same problem. Anyone found a solution? Is it because of AD on Win 2k3?
