Wrong internet email address format

Hi there,

I’ve set up a new Domino 7.02 server (on xLinux). Before we had a 5.08 running for a long time (on a different server).

The internet email address of one (it’s just a single one) of my users is wrong and I can’t figure out what’s wrong because I’ve configured all of my users the same way.

Internet-address is correctly set to user@company.com in person and location document. I’ve created a global Domain doc. On the conversions tab I’ve enabled ‘Internet address lookup’ and additionally I’ve set the convert part to:

‘Local part formed from:’ Short name

‘Domino domain(s) included:’ None

‘Address example:’ JMD@acme.com (which will be replaced with my users values and should be correct)

When I send an email from that users account I’ll always get ‘firstName_Name/Department/internalDomain%internalDomain@internetDomain’ as senders address.

The strange thing is that when changing to the new release I’ve got rid of the department part in all of my addresses. That can not be a conversion problem because I’ve completly set up Domino from scratch. I’ve also created new IDs. All that I’ve taken from the old system and converted were the users mailboxes (but the mailbox document doesn’t have the users email address included, or?).

So I really ran out of options here.

Thank you for any help,

Rado

Check that the owner of the mail file in tools → preferences is the correct format.

THANK YOU Melissa, that did the trick. Didn’t think of that one.
