This concerns the C API. I’ve got some text (Czech) thatis encoded in ISO-8859-2 (Eastern European) that I need to
put into an email message. I’ve got it working for message
text, since the MailAddMessageBodyTextExt will accept
NLS_PINFO structure, which I have set to NLS_CS_ISO88592.
The problem I have is with the message subject and distribution
list, which are set with NSFItemSetText. There is no way
to specify a NLS structure. I have tried taking my text and
running it through NLS_Translate, going from “source platform”
to “target LMBCS” but it did not seem to make any difference.
The result I get is garbage characters for certain extended
Czech characters. Any one have ideas?
