Is there a way in R6.5 policies to control what database/workspace bookmarks are pushed down to the client similar to the R5 setup profile field “Default databases added to bookmarks”? I know you can create a folder of bookmarks and drag it into the “bookmarks to merge” field on the desktop policy doc, but this apparently work with individual databases. Most of our users use the old R4 workspace as their default homepage so they can get to all their databases. They wouldn’t be able to understand having to go into folders to find things, the buttons need to be put right in front of them on their workspace.
The R5 profiles were great because I could add database links to the profile and they would be pushed to the client, but it doesn’t look like 6.5 has that capability. Am I just missing something, or did Lotus remove this feature? If it’s gone, is there a way around it other than emailing everyone

But don’t the Setup doc’s settings only get applied when a client is setup for the first time? I’m actually concerned about existing users, I’d like to update their workspace with new databases when necessary.

Even the Setup Policy? I thought that the setup policy would only be used for just that, setting up a client. So if I add something to the policy later, when someone’s policy refershes on their client, they’ll get changes from the setup policy as well even if they had been setup for awhile?

Setup policies only get applied on Workstation setup.Desktop policies should get applied every time the user logs into the server - they allow about the same things to be set as setup policies.

It doesn’t look like there is anywhere in the desktop policy that allows you to control workspace though. The bookmarks section is there, but I don’t think that will put database buttons into the workspace.
