Workload Balancing in Domino v702 Clustering + ODS limitation

Dear Domino forum readers,

I have reviewed the following article from DeveloperWorks regarding Workload balancing in Domino Clustering, at URL: IBM - United States

but I need more details about how this mechanism works…

which clarifies that Domino cluster provides workload balancing

further to failover capabilities.

Are these capabilities apply on all Domino 702 platforms (i.e. Win2003, SLES v10)?

For example, Is it feasible to distribute users that accessing a dbase (nsf) accross domino cluster members? How?

Is there a relevant technote, redbook or publication available?

b) Is there a limitation in Domino 702 ODS (v4.2)

regarding NSF max size limit?

The Domino 702 admin guide says that there is no limit…

Any advise will be much appreciated.

Workload balancing has been around since at least Domino 6.0, possibly longer. I don’t know of any technote or Redbook, I just used the information you cited along with the Domino Administrator help. The size limit on an NSF is 64GB, or the maximum size supported by the host OS.
