As a user, I work with 2 mail files, my own one called mail1 and a mail-in database called mail2. I open mail2 and write a new memo. Sending this new memo I can save it in mail2. If I forward a mail from mail2 I can only save it in mail1. Any ideas why Notes acts different sending or forwarding a mail???

Not too sure about ND6 but in R5, sending uses the mailfile you are working in, forwarding uses the mail file defined in your location document.
