I sent a message to : .@amd.com and get a Delivery Failure notice as follows:
Your message: Test message … please reply that it has been received
was not delivered to: <recipient’s first initial lastname>@source.qmm
because: This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.
Delivery to the following recipients failed.
<recipient's first initial lastname>@source.qmm
I had used ‘Trace entire path’ option and the routing path just shows our mail server …
From the failure notice doc properties i found something odd :
Intended Recipient: “<recipient’s first initial lastname>@source.qmm”
but
Send to : “.@amd.com”
Any idea what’s happening here … I am investigating this on behalf of one of our users who had similar failure … I have asked the recipient to send us a test message so that i can verify their address …
