Widgets on OSX

Hi

Do you know if the 8.5 Mac client will have the widgets functionality of the PC version?

I have the Mac beta installed but have no options to enable it in preferences like I do on the PC version

Subject: I managed to turn Widgets on, but…

I found a Preference (Lotus Notes->Preferences, all the way to the bottom there is a “Widgets” entry) that let me turn on the MY Widgets panel in the sidebar. Unfortunately I can’t figure out what to do next…

Subject: Ahh… a reinstallation fixed it for me

Now I have the option to turn it on in preferences.

Managed to install widgets by importing them (drag and drop didnt work)

Make sure the widgets have the extension .xml and I think it should work, managed to get a google widget to install ok

I found that I could install widgets from the “Configure a Component From… / A Google Gadget.” dialog by pasting in the URL. For me that was the only way I could figure out how to do it.

NOW… Where is the template for the Gadgets database?
