Why the R 6 does not have a address book component for web

hi allwhy the R 6 does not have a address book component for web ?

see we have a address book component in client by using the formula language @picklist(Names)

by doing this we get a address book dialog…

for web we had to use the tons of coding to achieve the same functionality or copy from the mail file and modify accordingly…

why in R6 the lotus has not given a component using it i could call in any where and the performance/maintenace of the database would have been better.

But thanks for making th rich text applet nice.

i hope we get these compontent in next release

IF you have the web access portion of the mail file you will see that there is the same address book functionality. This feature was in the mail template since R5. I know in 6.5 you can now sync your local address book with this web mail address book.

How can a person find out more about this? Look at the design of this template. IBM did not prohibit anyone from seeing this.
