Which platform we should go for Domino 6.5.4 (AS400 & AIX)

We are running domino R5.0.9 on AS400 V5R1 and want to upgrade to R6.5.4.We would like to upgrade to new server that can support 4000-5000 users.

I’m not sure which platform we should go for domino 6.5.X

Can we want to run mail and application in one box server?

If anyone have experience with AS400 and AIX please advise.

Nares,

You should consider the as400 as it is a very good server for Domino. properly configure you can host upward of 5000 on single server.

You can run both mail and application, not recomended because many domino apps run agents and other scripts that can cause trouble for regula mail user.
