Where Is This "Process C:\Assist\sdatXXXX.exe (4412/0x113C) has terminated abnormally" Message Coming From?

I have a server on an isolated network. The only way I can update the McAfee Virusscan (Version 8.0i) is to manually put an SDAT.exe on the server and execute it to update the virus signature.

But sometimes, after the SDAT has successfully run, the Lotus Domino server starts spitting out the message “Process C:\Assist\sdatXXXX.exe (4412/0x113C) has terminated abnormally”. And it doesn’t stop until I restart the Lotus Domino server.

The SDAT has NOTHING to do with the Domino server. Why is the Domino server doing this?

Thanks

We had the same problem with another mcafee executable (naprdmgr.exe) so we contacted Mcafee. As it turns out, there was a problem with the .exe so Mcafee code a fix.

Make sure all your mcafee stuff (epolicy agent) is up to date with all approprate mcafee patches applied.
