When a radio button selected, a particular text has to be displayed

Hi,

I am fresher working in Domino Designer. I have to create a form with 2 fields

  1. radio button (PR, QR, SR)

  2. text field

If PR is checked, imemdiately a text “PR is checked” must be displayed in the text field. similarly if QR is checked,“QR is checked” must be diaplayed.

Pelase let me know how to do it. It’s urgent.

Hi,

first make your Text field computed.

the formula look like this:

x:=@getfield(“your radiobuttenfield”)

@if(x=“PR”;“PR is checked”;“”);

@if(x=“QR”;“QR is checked”;“”);

@if(x=“SR”;“SR is checked”;“”);

or you could just use (for the text field value, in the computed text field)

rbfield + " is checked"

since the value in the rb field will be the beginning of what you want to display. The conditionals aren’t needed here.

Please first of all make sure that in the Form’s properties --“Automatically Refresh Fields” option is selected.lets’ say the radio button field’s name is rd

Then you can write a formula for the computed field for the Text as the following:-

@if(rd=“PR”;“PR is Checked”;rd=“QR”;“QR is checked”;rd=“SR”;“SR is checked”;“”)
