I can't find any information anywhere about Lotus Protector- it's not listed on the product page, nor does it have a forum. Towards the end of its time at IBM, they said they were working on migrating the UI away from Java. Will Protector be an active part of HCL's software portfolio?
HCL Lotus Protector for Mail Security is listed in Products, when you create Support Case and also here:

So at least currently it is supported and no EOS date specified.
Maybe not all documentation moved from IBM to HCL yet...
HCL currently supports Lotus Protector for Mail Security
I received following information from HCL Support today:
HCL has sunset LPMS on Feb. 11, 2020 and support for this product will end on Feb. 11, 2021. HCL has partnered with Proofpoint Inc. to provide alternative solution to our customers. Post the EOS date, customers can either: keep running Protector unsupported, go to Proofpoint, or go to 3rd party.

The Lotus Protector for Email protection was originally an OEM version of a Symantec product. The development of the IBM version stopped after a few versions as far as I remember.
To get a newer version, with enhanced encryption options, you could upgrade the IBM version to a newer Symantec version.

The Lotus Protector for Mail Security product is supported by HCL up to Feb 11, 2021.
