Hello, we sometimes have to move the case wikis from one community to another. Now there were sometimes problems with copy paste. Now the question: Do you have a good tip or workaround to move wikis from one community to another? HCL unfortunately does not have a wsAdmin solution. Currently we have to copy and paste each photo individually because a CTRL + A only copies the text and unfortunately not the photos. And if it works, only the link to the photos will be copied. If I delete the old community with the photos then the photos in the new community are gone. Unfortunately, this is a known problem.
Hello Max,
Actually there is an Enhancement Request for this situation
Move content from one community into another
https://connections-ideas.hcltechsw.com/ideas/IDEACNCTNS-I-483
I'm not aware about the other unofficial procedure
Hope this could help
Best regards

Hi, thanks Marcos!
Medium term focus??? :-) I think it should be planned. :-)
Hi Max, I would like to recommend Domain Patrol Social from Infoware.
https://www.infoware.eu/products/domainpatrol-social
They have a great tool for move/merge data within Connections.
- Handle content and users with a few clicks
- Merge & Move Communities, Wikis, Blogs, Activities
- Move Files and Libraries between Users and Communities
- Merge Profiles and Manage Access Control
we need a tool to dump all connections cloud service-only data to disc, in massive way (files / wikis / blogs). you have a tool to do this? thanks
Hi Max,
for migrating wikis from one community to another we use the former IBM Connections Extension Toolkit (ICXT), which is an asset developed by the ICS department. As far as I know the ICXT has been transfered to HCL. Maybe it is available from HCL if you have an active entitlement?
Best regards
Julian
