What is the best Antivirus for Lotus Domino 6.5?

I have a Domino Server, release 6.5. I currently have Innoculate 7.0 installed, but due to the various problems I have encounted and inibility of CA to help me, they have actually said they do not support Domino 6.5, they even took it off their support website because of me! So now I have a problem, I need a good Virus detector for my server that IS compatible with Domino 6.5x, any suggestions?

Thanks.

Andrew

The Trend Micro Scanmail product for Notes works well. One nice feature about the Trend approach is that they can find viruses inside any Notes document.

pity they charge per mailbox. I just spent a lot of money on CA innoculate for that. I nee a server only solution.

Thanks,

Using symantec anti virus for domino since R5, and have no problem. love it. It can aslo scan document in every database.and it charge per server.

dat file update is excellent.

I have installed SAV for domino in smtp server (low level server - pentium II) and some viruses still got through, but it stoped in mail server (high end server)-also installed SAV for domino.

Andrew,

I realize it’s a big late to add my suggestion, but I came across your post and had to put in my vote for GroupShield from McAfee. I use EPolicy to control it (centrilized management software for all AV clients across the enterprise from dekstop to servers), and the major “feature” is the way that McAfee scans mail in the mail.box. Instead of marking the mail HELD as most of the other AV products (including Trend) do, they mark it “Dead - Waiting for Virus Scan”. If you enable the setting “Hold undeliverable mail” in your domino config, anytime you get a bounce that is supposed to be HELD will cause problems with Trend and other AV scanners as thier process and the Router process “fight” marking the bounce HELD. Check out Chris Linfoot’s blog site for more info on this problem.

Hope that helps!

I just put on Symantec Mail Security for Domino. We are still on 6.0.1CF1 but it does support 6.5. I use it on both W2K and iSeries servers and I’m very happy with it. We are still using Inoculan Vet engine with SurfControl to scans all incoming mail, and Symantec has picked up viruses that have gotten through our relay!

Groupshield is also very good. We are running it on 6.5
