Create a Resource Reservation Database Create a Site within the database

Create the Rooms within the database

Wait for these to be created by AdminP in the NAB under Configuration>Messaging>Mail-in Databases>Rooms

Ensure Schedule Manager is running as a Task. If you have users on other servers, ensure Calendar Connector is running as a Task. (This performs lookups on busytime databases across servers)

Set the ACL on the Reservations database to allow general users Author Access.

Now the problem you may be experiencing is that the users cannot read the availability for the person or room.

Within the Calendar Preferences of each database you can deny access to read the calendar. This would prevent people checking the persons busytime.

hey thanks for your reply!i will check theses things.

another question: is it possible to have 2 ressource DB’s on a server? because i’ve got one and with this db it works, but i’ve created antoher ressource db to learn and to try out some things… and with this database it doesnt work. the rooms i craeted with this db they are not in the busytime.nsf, is that the problem? and if yes how can i bring them into the busytime?

thanks and greez

This can happen sometimes. I think AdminP just fails to register the rooms but does not produce any errors as such.

Known problems are…

  • moving Rooms from one server to another

  • removing a room, then adding a room later using the same name as before

  • blank calendar profile doc created in resources database by a user who does not have access to create a resource (Use NotesPeek to check Profile docs in database

It could be a problem with the calendar profile document. If there are no meetings in the database, it is probably better to start fresh rather than delete the Calendar Profile doc & recreate.

I would normally remove all current rooms that are not working. Make sure

AdminP removes them from the NAB. Then add in new rooms under new names. Then wait for them to appear in NAB.

You can run any amount of resource reservation databases.
