What is EXTMGR_ADDINS?

We have a parameter added to notes.ini which is

EXTMGR_ADDINS=signature3_08.dll,DBAPHook.dll

signatur3_08.dll → This is to add a signature(Crossware Application) to every email received in the mail.box but I have no idea what DBAPHook.dll is ?

Can someone please advise what does it do and which application has placed it here and what for.

What is the purpose of keeping this in notes.ini ?

What can happen if we remove DBAPHook.dll from notes.ini ?
