I’d like to embed an mp3 player in a web-enabled Notes database containing mp3 files. I’ve searched, searched, and experimented with various audio players but I just can’t find one that actually works in Domino. It has to work in all the usual browsers and especially on iPads. Anybody have any experience with audio players in Domino?
Subject: The player shouldn’t matter
The player working is it down to the browser and being installed in Domino correctly. When you say they don’t work, what do you mean? Do you mean they don’t start playing immediately and have to download the entire file? If so if you are attaching the file within a document, try attaching it with compression turned off, then Domino can byte serve the file.
If you expect to be able to click and be able to jump forward in recordings and back in recordings, then you really need a media server, which Domino isn’t. Lotus once had a companion product that did this for audio and video, but it was killed a few years ago.
