Webadmin.nsf broken (still)

I have never been able to log into the webadmin.nsf database since we upgraded to version 7. It’s still broken in version 7.0.2 (not sure if we are running fp1 or not).

I get the following error – Line 215: ‘remoteUserPreferences’ is undefined

if I try to log in as myself. The problem: my surname has an apostrophe in it in my Notes name.

I can happily log in under any names that do not have apostrophes.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you considered adding an alias to the User Name field in your Person document in the Domino directory? We routinely do this to all our O’ users to prevent smtp mail problems. eg.

Peter O’Toole/City/Org/AU <— Notes adds this by default

Peter O’Toole <— Notes adds this by default

Peter OToole <— we add this entry

Peter

Yes - I do that and it solves problems regarding mail

However the Web Administration retrieves and uses the Notes Name for dispaly, and for writing profile documents.

It is easy enough to write javascript to cope with this, but it appears the Lotus template designers have not.

Ah - I misunderstood your original post. I thought you were unable to authenticate due to the apostrophe in your name.

Subject: Bug is tracked is SPR#TGUZ73HNQF

It’s scheduled to be fixed in Domino 8.0 and tentatively also for 7.03.
