Web Service Permission Access

Hi,

I have a web service provider (lotus script) in my notes database.

The ACL of the database is:

  • Default = No Access

  • Anynomous = No Access

  • Myself = Manager Access

I then tried to access the database from the browser (MSIE and Mozilla Firefox). So, the url would be http://servername/abc.nsf

I could log-in successfully. Without closing the browser, I then tried to access the web service (http://servername/abc.nsf/wsTest?OpenWebService), I was prompted with the log-in screen again.

However, with the same credentials I used to log-in to the database, it did not let me access the web service. It came back with the message “You are not authorized to perform this action”.

Note:

Web Service has been configured as follows (in the Designer):

  • (In the security tab) Option 3. Allow restricted operations with full administration rights is enabled.

  • (In the security tab) Default access to all readers and above is enabled.

Any suggestions to this? Maybe there is a special server settings for web service permission access?

Thank you.

Regards,

Melissa Ngatiman

Subject: Solved

Hi Mario,

Make sure that you sign the web service with the id that has access to run lotusscript on that server.

Let me know if that solves the issue.

Cheers.
