Subject: Web search complexe
Here’s an example of what I do for such functionality:
HTML:
Employee ID
Task ID
Status
The gist of this: set the form’s processing agent to your searchable view with the querystring parameters you wish (such as variant and fuzzy searching etc.).
Put this in a pop-up (obviously in your own markup or after you’ve closed the domino-generated form with a tag).
The best thing about this approach, IMHO, is that it doesn’t require Domino housing. By this, I mean you could build these search forms anywhere that you can write HTML, so your Sharepoint-based intranet (bleh) could have a “widget” that’ll search Domino databases.
For exact field-to-value pairings though, you can build the query string yourself. The proper syntax is listed below:
?SearchView&Query=[FIELDNAME]=FIELDVALUE
So… for your example above:
?SearchView&Query=[DateField]=15/02/2006
Of course, you’ll want to URLEncode this query value if you’re using GET or calling the URL String:
?SearchView&Query=[DateField]=15%2F02%2F2006
You could also do something like this:
?SearchView&Query=[DateField]CONTAINS(15%2F02%2F2006)
