Web Replacement - ComposeDocument

Hi,

I have an agent, which i call from a button on a web form. I would like to create a document in the database by using the agent…usually, I would do this by ws.ComposeDocument(“”,“”,“FormName”). How would i do this in a web agent?

Thanks!

build a url that looks like:

http://domino1/BadCheck1.nsf/BIRRegister?OpenForm

where birregister is the name of the form. Read more on OpenForm in the Designer help to see what else you can do with this url command to pass data between forms and so on.

to break this down we have

http:// - the protocol used (generally http or https)

domino1 - the host dns

BadCheck1.nsf - the database name

BIRRegister - the form to be opened

?OpenForm - the command to run

Other URL commands are listed in the help. Some useful ones are:

ReadForm (opens the form in read mode)

OpenDocument

EditDocument

OpenPage

OpenView

OpenAgent

ReadViewEntries (shows the xml generated by a view)

There are other url commands for searching, and basically everything you could want to do, almost. Look in the help.

Hi,

You can try this…

Pass the value as “&fieldname=test”.In the form, in the respective field, use @urlquerystring(fieldname) as the value…
