Web links... just stop rendering as links?... target is still there... ? Hello?

We have an intranet that has been in place for 5 years or so… there are links on it that point to pages/framesets/views etc in other databases… Nothing has changed… those targets are still there… I can actually access them using the full URL… but for some reason, the text words on the Intranet are not rendering as links lately. ?

Has ANYone had this happen? We thought it was maybe one person’s cache… but it’s happening to ALL users now… so It’s not a workstation issue…

Ideas?

Have you recently rolled out the Norton Internet Manager (or whatever it is called) for your clients? We had a similar complaint from some users, and it turned out that the format of the links led the Norton security tool to eliminate the links.

Subject: so…what did you do to resolve it?

Sounds like CSS was applied to your site. I’d look in the inherited style sheets for anything that affects A tags.

Subject: can you elaborate?

where would this have been applied? on the server? client? for what purpose? it wasn’t used for the intranet… could some other application have caused this…say, if someone installed a Notes based CRM package?
