Typically, applications for use by the Notes client or web browser are totally contained within an NSF. The tool to create and update the design of the NSF is Domino Designer. You can make design changes against a local NSF or local NTF then replicate or copy the NSF to the server where multiple users can access it based on their access level. You can also make changes to a server-based NSF, but you may wish to restrict access while you are completing or updating your design. While your NSFs are in production use, it is recommended that you make updates to the NTF from which the NSF inherits some or all of its design.
