Subject: Way to prove how often or last use of an email-group
If you have message tracking enabled you can put the group name in the “To” field in the search criteria which will give you a return if it’s being used.

I was going to echo the Message Tracking option.
But, if this is not running, you could also enable mail logging for all messages going to that group. That would keep you from having to put the name of the mail-in database and having users wonder who that group member is. If you setup a server mail rule to forward all messages for that group (using both hierarchical and smtp format) to a mail-in database, then this could help you out.

Create a mail in database and add the name of it to the group.
