Voicemail in POP notes mail

We are trying to connect our notes clients to our voicemail system via POP. We would like to set up our users notes clients to receive voicemails from our infinity audix voicemail system to the same location and profile as our users currently receive email. Our voicemail provider gave us the instructions of setting up POP as the type entering in the voicemail IP, under user entering in the user’s ext and password. We still can not get this to work. We do not see any error messages and we are wondering if anyone else has been able to do this, if so how?

Thanks

Subject: Audix POP mail server

So the Audix system is a POP mail server and mail clients (in this case, Notes) pick up the voicemail messages from this server?

Subject: Audix POP mail server

Yes the Audix is a POP mail server and mail clients should be able to pick up the voicemails.

Have you been able to set this up successfully? I dont know if its just me or a setting that we have previously set not to allow this

Subject: 2 ways

there are 2 ways for retrieving pop-mails:

Let the users download it themselves by adding a connectiohn document (could be done via policy)

or

use a Pop3-Collector

I’ve been using the RHPop3Collector for years, but I couldn’t find the link now. But there are a few for free:

or search google

the advantage of a server task is that you’ll see the errors.

one idea might be that the port is not specified correctly or is being blocked by a firewall. did you check that?

I wasnt able to find RHPop3Collector but I am still looking. Is there alot of configuration like opening up ports or is it pretty much plug and play?

Subject: Configuring POP mail to deliver to the same location

This is an issue I have been having as well. I would very much like to configure my Notes client to pull mail from Gmail, but can’t seem to get it to work (at least not to the same location. Anything I’m doing wrong here. By the way, I can configure other email clients to connect to Gmail, so it is not a port issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
