View scrolls UP -- coworkers laughing

I’ve got a view in a frameset (outline on the left, view on the right). First column is categorized, twistie set to show. When first opened, view is set to collapse, therefore shows only categories with twisties.

Click on the twistie, any twistie, and the view scrolls UP! Never saw this before – nor have my unkind but amused colleagues. Anyone have a hint?

If this is on the web, it is working as designed. The twistie “contains” an anchor tag that is used in the view URL when you expand/collapse a section. Scrolling up might not be what you expected – but it is better behaviour than forcing a user to scroll down the page to find the category/document they just clicked on when the view reloads.

Stan – It’s in the Notes client. But, I see your point. It does however assume that the user knows to go to the top of the screen to collapse everything back to the original state. I’ll talk to the users and see if they want a larger button to collapse the view again.

Thank you.
