In my database are documents which I created new visible in the view, but I do not find it via the search bar (using ‘created’ and a date).Same applies, if I enter the document key in the search bar: the document is not found.
What could be the reason for this?

It may be that you are not rebuilding the index immediately. This on the I bekleive the second to last tab on the dB properties.

Do you think it need to be ‘Auto, at most every’ ?
Beacause there is no category named ‘immediately’.

It is not in the view property, but the database property. Of course you view should NOT discard after each use, unless your view is soo small it will not take long to rebuild.
But when you full index a dB, the options are Daily, hourly or immediately. and even using immediately does not mean it will be, but as soon as the server gets to it.

It is set to ‘immediate’ for my database.
OK - I understand: it is as immediate, as the server can do it …
In other words: we have a bad server performance.

If the dB is quite large and the user makes lot of changes to the dB, then the server will load will be much greater. It is also possible that the users do not need to full text search right away, so setting it hourly or even daily makes sense.
There is much to consider, but it beyond the scope of your question.
