View not working on web----Please help ---Urgent

Hi,

I have a calendar view (display —calendar style) and my First column in the view has the following code with a dateRange , but for some reason the view is not excluding weekends as it’s displayed… (in the column to exclude Saurday and Sunday)

The values for a daterange (WHich has been @Explode (StartDate-EndDate) and entries are fine as it doesn’t show any entry on a weekend , but is there a way to totallu show the display in a tabular format (month Format ) to just indicate from Monday to Friday.

Here is the column code…(I am using @Transform which is a new function in Notes 6.0 and above.

temp := @If(@IsAvailable(RepeatInstanceDates);

@TextToTime(@Text(RepeatInstanceDates));

@TextToTime(@Text(DateRange)));

@If(temp = “”; @nothing; @TextToTime(@Text(@Transform(temp; “x”; @If(@Weekday(x) = 1:7; @Nothing; x)))))

WIth this code it still shows a table Form of month calendar with Saturday and Sundays

Please help what is it I am doing wrong.

Regards,

ac ac

No, you will not be able to do that. Take a look at CalendatFormat in the Designer Help…there are only a subset of the view display options to work with on the web.

In theory, since it is a table, you could write Javascript to remove the last two columns of the table, but it is much more difficult then in appears because the calendar on the web is composed of a bunch of tables (one per row if I remember correctly) instead of one big table.

When I was faced with this problem, I wrote my own calendar display formatter based on CSS instead of tables.

Hi Lawrence,

Thanks for your response , I would appreciate it you have the code CSS file as I am new to CSS and how it can be used.

I would appreciate all your help.

Thanks in advance,

Unfortunately, the code I wrote, a webqueryopen agent, produced a ton of CSS formatted HTML by looping through the event documents and built a whole replacement calender.

It was neither easy or enjoyable work…and it was work for hire that I don’t have the right to provide here.

If you are on a tight deadline, your best bet would be to see about getting your requirement changed…this is not a simple problem to solve and will most likely require either a lot of coding or using an external Javascript library that will produce a calender for you that accepts your events in some format.

Thanks Lawrence,

Ok if you could help me ,

I have a DateList (Field called DateRange) which is a DateTime DataType and have multiple values such as

“02/02/2007”

“02/03/2007”

“02/04/2007”

“02/05/2007”

“02/06/2007”

“02/07/2007”

“02/08/2007”

How can I get rid of weekends and holidays from this Date List and rebuild the list

Here is my code in the computed DateRange Field which is of datatype Date/Time

Holidays := “01/01/2007”:“02/19/2007” and so on …

Range := @Explode(@TextToTime(@Text(StartDate) + “-” + @Text(EndDate)));

What commands do I have to add in order to exclude weekends and holidays and rebuilt the list.

Thanks in advance
