I found this article posted by HTH but Would you mind telling me what design elements contain those applets that I can turn off? because I don’t know what to do to turn Off the view applet … i’ts very important to me

Why Ibm use Java applet for connection webmail ? it’s a very big problem for all users if JVM not installed in worktations ( Internet Caffee )and if they are not Administrators of the machine , they can’t install it …

All you need to do is to make a copy of the template and turned off the view applet, action bar applet, & rich text body applet. I am not sure what template you are using since they all can do web mail, but if you turn these items “off” you will have your desired results. I don’t think there is a pre-made mail template with no java.

Could I suggest the OpenNTF template? Take a look at http://www.openntf.org and try out their mail template. Just replace the design of a test mail template with the OpenNTF one and see what happens.

Many thanks for the response.This site can be very usefull.

Finally I decided to use template inotes instead of mail to allow swith users for webmail or inotes . With Inotes no applet java loaded . it is the only solution I found because in webmail, applet java is needed to load bar action.
