Let’s say the user John Doe/org has, in the Person document, john.doe@org.com as Internet address, john.doe as first item in the Short name/UserID field with some more aliases
RFC822 phrase handling in the Server’s Configuration document is set to Use CN as phrase
When John Doe creates a new e-mail, by default Verse select the sender John Doe/org.
The external recipient receives the e-mail from John Doe <john.doe@org.com> (From header value) which is good.
The external recipient replies to the e-mail, Domino receives an e-mail with the same John Doe <john.doe@org.com> as the recipient (To header value). So far so good.
Then, John Does replies to the reply using Verse which now uses john.doe@org.com as sender.
What the external user gets in the From header is the e-mail address only, no John Doe is present.
Is there a way to have the phrase name in replies from Verse?
It’s quite annoying for external users having the same thread shown as “John Doe” and “john.doe”, this also applies when the external user is using Domino.
