Recently we found the following unexpected behaviour.
1) In mobile Verse client on Android phone. When replying to email, the default has always been not to include attachments. However the attachments are included on send. When creating the email on the phone, there is no warning that attachments will be included so you cannot prevent including them. Even though we looked how the attachments might be removed prior to sending we could not find a way.
2) On a web Verse client, some of the attachments appear within the text as links to the user mailfile and at the same time they are also shown as proper attachments in the mail interface. The sending party is sending these as attachments not sharable links so it is clearly DOMINO that creates and leaves the links within the text. On forward or reply these links are also forwarded and remain within the body despite the fact that the original real attachments are removed from the forwarded or replied email. Thus the person who is not intended recepient receives a link to the attachment. This is not desirable as they may receive an information that is not for them.
we were able to investigate the issue in more detail.
The problem is with mail sent from Apple Mail. Full Notes Standard Client interprets and displays the email as expected. The attachments are displayed as standard attachments and no links remain in the body upon reply.
However, Verse Browser client interprets the same email differently. It shows the attachments as attachments but also shows the attachments as links within the email body (the link is in the position where the sender put the attached file - very much similar to how you place attachments with Notes Rich Text). When replied to via Verse Browser client the attachments are removed but the links remain, which we view as a Bug.
The behaviour of the Mobile Verse client is also different. It shows the attachments as attachments with no links in the body. When replying the message does not show the attachments, ie. they appear removed but when the email is sent the attachments are sent.
We do not have MIMEforceattachments in the notes.ini.
