VB6 and Client 6.51 do I need to recomplie 5.x applications

I can’t seem to find a reference in the forums about this, perhaps someone can fill me in. I have several VB6 applications that were compiled on a 5.x client, when I run them they shut down the Notes Client. These work(ed) fine on the 5.x clients. To solve the problem we recompiled the VB6 code on a 6.51 client and they work. Is this normal?, I would have thought that the Lotus DLL would be loaded on runtime of the VB executible. Let me know if anyone else has a simplar experience.

but addressed it just before 6.5 shipped. Maybe they reintroduced the problem in 6.5.1

You should be able to use Notes 5.0.2b and later with the same vb app.
