I would like to know how I can solve this problem:
I have 2 forms which I would like to call A and B
In form A I am adding my task of process parameters.
In form B I am adding my current process parameter.
For e.g. pH
pH 7-8 = green light
pH 6-7 or 8-9 = yellow light
PH 5-6 or 9-10 = red light
My problem is that I have to compare my current process parameter (form B) with my task of process parameters. Can somebody please help me to create this traffic light function?

Hi Marc
This is quite easy to do. But you need to specify how you ‘pass’ the current process parameter to your code.
Are you going to call your code from the web via http or have you got some way of periodically updating document B (form B)?
Also how often do you want the code to run? For example if you are calling the code via http then you simply add the current process parameter’s vaue on the query string. Call the code like this:
Then the agent code can pick up the value from the query string and compare to doc B and set the traffic light for you.
If you are updating the value in doc B in some other way then you can scheduel your agent to run based on some other trigger and then it checks doc B and sets the traffic light.
I or someone else can help you with the code if you answer how you want the code to be called and how often etc.

I am using Lotus Notes V6.5.4 and I am not using any Browser. It is in a “normal” database wihtin Notes Client.
Form A is created normally only once. Form B is created daily or weekly, but should always show the status by the traffic light.
It would be really great if someone is able to tell me how to create the way, string and the formula to compare the values. The traffic lights should be only displayed in the view for form B.
