Using the Admin Central database, how do I specify which ID vault to upload an ID file?

Domino V14.0 FP3 HF9
admincentral.nsf 14.0
Linux 6.1.0-17-amd64

Problem/Query:
I am working with the admincentral.nsf database. I am trying to move ID files from the old ID vault (which we lost the ID file for) into the new ID vault.
I have successfully downloaded the ID files from the old vault. Now I am trying to upload them into the new one using the feature in the admincentral.nsf database.
(instructions: Uploading an ID file for a user )

But when I click the ID File - upload link, it doesn’t give any option to select the ID vault and when I use it, it processes without any errors, but it doesn’t appear in the ID vault that I need it in.

How do I get these IDs imported into the new ID vault using the admincentral.nsf?
In fact, the method of right clicking the person doc in the directory and uploading it also doesn’t allow specifying where to upload it.

HI David,

When you’re uploading an ID file to the ID Vault, you don’t directly specify the ID vault to upload an ID file. The system actually determines the correct ID vault based on the Security Settings document that’s part of the effective policy assigned to that specific user. Essentially, the policy dictates which vault should be used for that user’s ID file, rather than you having to manually select it during the upload process. Logically, the process of uploading of ID file to the ID Vault using Admin Central is the same when uploading ID file using Notes and/or Admin clients.

Hello David,

Hope you are doing well

The ID vault is enabled to user via security policy and the ID vault name is mentioned in ID vault tab of the security policy.

So the user’s ID file will be uploaded to the ID vault Database mentioned in the ID vault tab in the Security policy Document.

If you want to specify another ID vault (new) then you need to change the ID vault name into the security policy document assigned via policy to the end users.

I hope the above information will help in answering your concerns

Thank you
