Using Domino Web Access Redirect to access mail in Domino Web Access

I followed the steps in:Lotus Domino Administrator 6.5.1 Help

Mail, Domino Web Access,

Using Domino Web Access Redirect to access mail in Domino Web Access

I created a database called iwaredir.nsf from the iwaredir.ntf.

I ran through it’s setup.

  • Server settings

– Redirection type=MailServer

– tcp/ip domin=dekko.com

– force path=blank

– enable debug=no

  • UI setup

– delay seconds=1

– text=Redirecting…

– custom logo=blank

– background color for browser=default of #FFFFFE

– enable personal options=Yes

  • Application settings

– Clicked on the magic ACL button

Then I created a domcfg.nsf

The directions talk about ‘click Add Mapping’. Didn’t find that. Pulled down Create, Mapping a Login Form. Made it Server Wide Setting.

– Target Database file name=iwaredir.nsf

– Target Form name=DWALoginForm

Saved all that

tell http quit

load http

(a simple tell http restart did nothing)

Now I get the DWA login form.

But instead of redirecting me, it simply says “Form processed”.

Subject: Never mind; you posted that you’d solved this while I was typing/replicating this…

You are aware that you’ve configured your server so that anyone who tries to access any secured page in any db on the whole server will be presented with the DWALoginForm in your iwaredir db?

Anyway, what url are you entering when the login form comes up? It should be …/iwaredir.nsf. (Generally reached through a link on your intranet portal homepage.)

Hmm, never used the domcfg part of your install. But, okay. Create the redirector DB, and make it the homepage for the server. What happens then? Or just browse to that DB and login, do you get to your mail file?

Just wondering.

Thanks. I changed the server docMapping

Home URL: /iwaredir.nsf?Opendatabase&login

and now it works.

Cool, glad to have been able to help.

Sorry I didn’t chime in on the listserv thread for you.
