They receive mail just fine on their 2 addresses but everytime they reply to their sender that came through the virtual domain, it uses their primary domain’s email address.
Isn’t Domino supposed to use the acmeshoes.com address when replying to mails that came in from the virtual acmeshoes.com domain? And use acmeshirts.com “only” when replying to mails that came in from acmeshirts.com domain?

But there is one problem. Your location documents are updated regularly and the Internet mail address is overwritten with your address on the server (person document Domino Directory). So the two location documents in your personal address book wil have the same email address.I do not know how this happens.
Subject: RE: users with more than one email address
No – the intended functionality is that all email from a particular user will go out with the same “From” email address. Bear in mind that the routing of the email is the same regardless, and whatever server pushes the email onto the internet will be the one to decide how to translate the Notes userid to an internet address. What does that process know about the recipients of the message that this one is a reply to? That information in not preserved in the reply.
You could customize the Reply forms to use the SendTo, CopyTo, and BlindCopyTo fields of the original memo to calculate the Principal and/or ReplyTo fields, which should make it look like the email came from a different address, but I believe the “actual” address is also included even when it’s sent to the internet.
Also note that if the recipient gets this message as a member of a group, their internet mail address might not be on it, even though the message might have originated from the internet.
How were you thinking to sort out messages sent to a customer contact not in reply to a message of theirs?
