User's webmail defaults to 'ui=portal' instead of 'ui=inotes'?

Hello all,

I have a user, who, when she logs into her webmail, all she sees is her ‘Inbox’ folder/view-- it literally takes up the whole page and you can’t see the frame on the left with the list of the rest of her folders until you click on an arrow icon in the upper-left portion of the screen.

We use the Web Mail Redirect (webmailredirect.nsf) database on the internal email server that webmail accesses the actual mail databases on. I have noticed that the very end of the URL reads, ‘ui=portal’ for her webmail instead of ‘ui=inotes’ like it should (and does for other users. I have looked at her ACL and email Database Properties, and they both checked out OK. I also ran ‘Fixup’ and it didn’t do anything to help. If the user actually manually types over the ‘ui=portal’ with ‘ui=inotes’ and hits ‘Refresh’, then the normal window/frameset appears as it does for everyone else.

Why is she being directed to ‘ui=portal’ instead of ‘ui=inotes’?

Thanks,

Patrick

this is an option in webmailredirect.

You should have a preferences button on the “redirecting…” screen. The option is in there.
