User's Mail is encrypted, though it shouldn't be

We have a user that has had a lot of trouble with encryption. She originally checked to encrypt her messages not realizing that we don’t use encryption, then had issues with the fact that she used a laptop on the side that didn’t have the encryption keys. We updated her ID files and removed all encryption options on her clients. This made both computers work. Unfortunately, when she tries to access Notes on the web it tells her that she can’t read her mail because it is encrypted. She has the version 6 client and a version 5 mail template. We’ve looked through every encryption box we can find on either one of her clients and everything makes it look like her mail should no longer be encrypted. One thing to note is that old mail in other folders can still be viewed on the web, so I think anything from before the encryption incident is okay. So my question is how do we get her mail to stop being encrypted so she can read it on the web? Thank you for any help.

Have you checked her person document to see if the option to see if the option to encrypt recevied mail is set to yes? That option is on the Basics tab of the person document and labeled “When receiving unencrypted mail, encrypt before storing in your mailfile:”

The option is set to No. I’m assuming that’s how it should be set?

Subject: Existing encrypted mail won’t just decrypt itself…

None of that will cause previously encrypted mail messages to somehow become decrypted – you’d have to write an agent or a script of some kind running with the user’s ID file to grind through the user’s mail file and decrypt and re-save all of the previously encrypted messages.
