We have domino server 8.5 HF376 and clients 8.5 and we have a da.nsf using a edc.nsf
If I make a wrong type ahead in new memo in the send to field (p.e. SmithX instead of Smith) then i get a dialogue field were i could choose the person which could be right.
But Mr. Smith is showed twice there. One entry for the names.nsf person document and one entry for the edc.nsf person document. This only happens in the notes 8.5 basic client (in standard client its showed 3 times because of the recent contacts view)
If i try this in my notes 7.0.1 client the user is showed correctly only once.
In every location on the different clients the “Recipient name type-ahead” is set to “local then server”
has any other recognized this?
Subject: Are the Mail Settings Different on each client for “Recipient name lookup”
My guess is the the 7.0 Client has Stop after first match
Also, are both the 8.x and 7,.x Client point at the same directory server?
The 8.x may be pointing at a server with DA enabled while the 7.x may be pointing at one that only is using names.nsf…
In the Standard Client you should be able to remove the bad entry you added when you mistyped to get rid of that…

Subject: Stop after first match
Both clients have “stop after first match”. We do not have an entry for directory server, only for mail/home server and catalog domain search server. And both clients have the same settings .
As said, this only occurs if I mistype the name in the “send to” field and press F9. If I fill it correctly there is no problem.

We still have this problem. Maybe someone else has it recognized it too in the meantime???
