User-specific delay when single-clicking docs in view

I have a database sitting on a Domino server (running Domino 6.5.5 on AIX). Whenever I click (not open, just single-click) on documents in this database (any view), there is a delay with the hourglass, sometimes an extremely lengthy delay (30 seconds or more), depending on the type of document. This behavior is user-specific. No one else experiences this delay, only me. It is also database-specific, even on the same server. I went so far as to make a copy of this database on the same server (same ACL settings), and I do not experience the delay in that copy. Not only that, but the problematic database also has replicas on two other servers, and I do not experience the delay in the replicas either. The problem is literally limited to this specific database and this specific user (me).

Again, this doesn’t even involve opening the docs, just clicking on them, and the delay is so bad that in certain views, it becomes virtually impossible to work, because the act of just clicking from one document to another takes so long.

Does anyone know of anything that could cause this type of behavior that is both user- and database-specific?

Thanks for any help.

Well this is a wierd one and I can’t say I’ve seen these symptoms exactly, but this is what normally works to fix similar symptoms which are single-machine specific:

  1. Delete the icon from your workspace (which will delete any Private views if you have any)

  2. Shut down Notes

  3. Delete file \CACHE.DSK

  4. Restart Notes.

  5. Reopen database.

Thank you so much. That worked perfectly (only difference was the name of the cache file–Cache.NDK). I owe you the beverage of your choice.

Quite right - my mistake.

CACHE.NDK not CACHE.DSK
