User-selection - path to DB

In a dialoglist I want different “lookups” depending on the values in two other fields.These two other field-values are district-name and path to another DB. I let the DB-administrator create these values

through a form (with a view) and the user then uses a lookup

to set the values in field one and two (district-name and path to the other DB).

Then in the dialoglist I refered to above I want to do a lookup - @DBColumn - based on the value in field two = the path to the other DB.

Now I have written the code directly in the dialoglist but I want to use the values set by the user.

For exampel:

@If(!@IsNewDoc & @IsDocBeingLoaded; @Unavailable; @Unique(@DbColumn

(“”:“NoCache”; “Here I want the path set by the user in field two”; “ViewXX”; 1)))

Sure. I’ll focus on your immediate question, ignoring whatever error checking (blank, @IsError, etc.) that you want. You can either create a multi-value variable or use two variables. Something along this line …

…

Server := …

DB := …

… @DbColumn(“”:“NoCache”; DB : Server; “ViewXX”; 1)))

Suppose you mean (“”:“NoCache”; Server:DB; “ViewXX”; 1)))

I tried to set

Server := ValueOfField1;

DB := ValueOfVield2;

But I cannot get it to work - cannot find path to server (or file does not exist).
