We have just upgraded our mailing system from R5.0.11 to R6.5.1. All the computers are running on Windows2000 with 128 mb RAM.There is a considerable performance degradation at the client level as compared to previous version of R 5.0.11. Can anybody pls tell me the reason and performance tuning steps?

Hi,
Notes alone requires 128 MB RAM. Add the requirements for w2k and you’ll see that your hardware is weak.

Thx for ur reply Alexander but R5.0.11 was running absolutely fine. On comparing R5 and R6 clients with respect to Memory utilization i have found out that Lotus Notes client(R5 and R6) occupies just 12-21 mb of virtual memory
