URGENT - Allowing user to enter chinese chars

Hi all,End users data in all fields normal alphabetic char’s. But, I need to create a some fields (Such as Client name in chinese, engagement code in chinese…) where user need to enter chinese char’s…

How can i allow user enter chinese chars and i can save the data…???

Basically you want to enter double byte characters which I believe is a NON-issue with Lotus Notes 6 and 7 but I’ve never done it.

I dont know about Chinese, but for Japanese within the notes client to be able to read (not write) Japanese text you need to change the Preferences / User preferences…1) Default Fonts set to MS Mincho (or at least the first two options).

  1. In the Advanced Options box enable unicode display.
