Upgrading to R6.5.1 from R5.0.x

Greetings All,

I am upgrading from R5.0.x to R6.5.1 and within this environment, I still have one machine that’s making use of R4.5.1 (that’s correct R4). My question is: this particular user has a number of Private Views that he has created and I wanted to know if there are any ideas for getting his Private Views to the R6.5.1 client? As well, are there any known issues with this?

The answer is absolutely not, the client is going to have to rebuild the views from a ND6.x client. Sorry

Subject: Private views are stored in Desktop.dsk in 4.x and 5.x

If that file is present when the user upgrades then his private views should be there.
