I am in the process of implementing a new server and decommissioning an old server while at the same time upgrading to 6.5 The server I am decommissioning is currently the administration server and the server I am implementing will be the new administration server. However the old server is not going to be decommissioned for at least 3 weeks after the implementation of the new server.
So my question is should I wait until I decommission the old server to make the new server the administration server or should I demote the old server and promote the new server at the beginning? I do not plan on upgrading the old server seeing as it is going to be decommissioned shortly.
